Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Huddersfield Road on Tuesday 27th October between 05:00hrs and 22:00hrs

the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry. 

Suspect/s snap the lock on the rear of the property, which does not give the suspects access, suspect/s then attack the window casing, before removing the panel on the rear door, and untidy search of the property and items 

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between the date and times above to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

As a precaution, please check that your door locks are secure and correctly fitted. We recommend anti-snap locks with a 3 Star rating, certified to either TS007 or SS312 standards. These locks are available from many locksmiths and security providers.
